A few months ago, I spoke with a close friend who’s mother passed earlier last year.
Since her passing, I had connected him with his mother several times through mediumship readings, each time relaying beautiful messages of love and connection to him. One of which, I still remember: “You don’t have to wait to use a medium to know that I’m still around. I’m your mother, and I’ll always be around you. And you can always talk to me.”
Well, recently my friend hadn’t been feeling her presence around him and thought that he had lost the communication/connection with her. He wanted a sign that she was still here. A tangible one – like feathers, or her voice, or something unique that he would recognize as her contacting him from the other side.
Something to let him know that he wasn’t alone.
After ending that call with him, and giving him a process for how to receive a sign from his mother, I began to think of my own loved one in spirit that I hadn’t heard from in a while – my grandmother. My grandmother passed several years ago, and since her passing, she has contacted me multiple times through readings I’ve received from other mediums, as well as whenever I’d be cooking in my kitchen – her favorite place to be (she was a chef).
But lately, I hadn’t felt her presence in awhile. And I realized that I was missing her, and missing the evidence that she was still around me, watching me, guiding me at times.

i am never alone

As a medium, I know our loved ones want to speak with us just as much as we want to speak with them, and often use a multitude of ways to reach out to us. So I prayed that night for a sign: “Grandmomma, please give me a sign to let me know you’re still here with me. I’d like a white feather, or something like that, as I’ve never seen one sent from you before. But please, make it blatantly recognizable for me, because you know I can be hard-headed and blind sometimes.”
A few days later, I had the urge to go to the lake by my house. I LOVE taking walks by the lake, letting the wind hit my face while I look out at the water and the trees, and feeling my energy deeply relax and stretch out. But I hadn’t gone to the lake in months. But that day, I felt like it was something I needed to do.

When I arrived at the lake, got out of my car, and began walking the trail towards the water, something stopped me still, in my tracks, breathless: white feathers.   Thousands of them. All around me, scattered across the grass leading up to the water. I had never seen so many in one place before. It almost looked like it had been snowing, and the grass was lightly blanketed by pointy feather–shaped snowflakes.

Of course, there is a logical explanation for this: It’s spring time, and the ducks are just too excited to play at the lake. They must have shed their feathers in the process.
But there’s also a spiritual explanation for them: I am not alone. And Source, disguised as my grandmother, moved pieces of Life to help around just to prove this to me.
I left that park that day in tears, and with my heart swelling with gratitude and love. My grandmother had heard me, and brought not just one white feather, but thousands, so I’d get the message loud and clear: “I am not alone. She is with me.
What I know for sure is that we are loved, and never alone. It’s part of the contract of being a soul in a human body. And even though I see evidence of this all the time while doing mediumship readings for other people, at times I can forget this simple truth for myself.
That day was a simple, yet powerful reminder for me: “When I feel alone, my loved ones in spirit are only a prayer away.” A reminder for us all: “When we feel alone, love is only a prayer away.”
And it will show up in the thousands. We just have to pay attention.
AFFIRM with me: “I am never alone. And my loved ones on the other side are more than willing to help me remember this.
