When we feel ashamed, we adopt certain behavioral defense mechanisms, as a result. And we do so, initially, to protect ourselves from being either emotionally or physically harmed. One of these behaviors is “hiding.” We hide the parts of ourselves that we feel ashamed about. However, instead of actually protecting us, hiding ourselves ultimately ends up harming us by keeping us from truly being free, and receiving the love we so desperately desire, and deserve. In this next video of my shame series, I discuss the behavior of “hiding” that we adopt when we feel ashamed, how this behavior negatively effects our lives, and what the actual process is for healing it, and returning ourselves to freedom and Love. Enjoy!
