I recently received an email from an anonymous inquirer, who asked the question: “Do I have to share my secrets so publicly, like you do, in order to heal myself from my illness? Does my healing require my liberation to be so public?”
My answer simple is answer is this: No, not at all. You just have to feel free (in public) to heal.
And what I mean by that is in order to heal yourself, you must feel free, emotionally and energetically, in all the spaces in which move…especially the spaces in which you move in consistently.
Now that may require you to share are all your secrets in public, and it may not. But what you’re healing does require is that no place within you still feels in bondage. That you don’t feel imprisoned in your life or your being anywhere. Because the feeling of being in bondage, or being imprisoned, is a highly toxic energy to our body, and whenever we feel that way, it drains the Life Force Energy out of our bodies that our bodies need to both stay well, and to heal themselves when they are not. And when we keep secrets and hide aspects of ourselves, we start to feel a sense of bondage/imprisonment until we those secrets and that behavior of hiding is released from our being.
In order to heal yourself, you just have to feel totally feee and not hidden in the spaces in which you predominantly move in – your closest relationships, the places you spend the most time interacting with people, etc. It’s in these places where if you’re hiding that it has the most detrimental effect on your vibration. And it’s in those spaces where it does the most damage to your life and the health of your body if you don’t feel fully free/liberated. If you don’t spend a large part of of your life in the public sphere, then it’s not important to share your secrets there, especially in the beginning of your healing journey. As a matter of fact it can be downright detrimental to your healing if you share so openly in the beginning phases, because you won’t have cleared the fear in your vibrational system deeply enough beforehand, so you can end up manifesting an external response from your fear, and your feeling of not being fully safe, that will end up being horrendous.
In order to avoid such a painful experience, I recommend taking the approach of starting small within your inner circle, and then expanding out more publicly as you gain confidence and momentum in feeling more free.
Start inwards, then expand outwards.
Here’s what it looks like…
Start by sharing what you’ve been hiding/keeping secret with a therapist, a coach, a healer, or some other kind of professional in the counseling/healing arena who has been trained to hold such information in confidence, and that you can deeply feel safe with. Tell this person your truth, and your whole truth. Bring it all out on the table. leave nothing left unsaid about it.
After that, share with your best friend, then your closest friends, then your family. Again, the rule of thumb here is to tell them each circle the whole truth. Then, lastly, the more public sphere. The more safe and liberated and supported you feel, the better able you will be to share publicly, if you feel called to that at all. But you may not.
What my own journey taught me is that once you get a taste of liberation somewhere in your being, you want it everywhere in your being. But that journey towards that kind of liberation is a process, and there are steps. Start with the small steps. Then let your expanding sense of freedom guide you. It will tell you how much more you want, and where it most wants you to go to get it.
Listen to how you feel.
Trust the steps.
Don’t rush the process.
Ask your soul if and how you’re ready to go bigger with sharing what you’ve previously kept hidden and secret. Tune into your inner guidance, and feel into what the next best step is. It knows. It always, and in all ways, knows. Your soul’s biggest desire for you is for you to return home to your true essence: liberation. And it knows the most healthy path to get you back to it.
Your healing journey may not look like mine, but you can trust your inner pull towards freedom.
You can trust it with your life.
It’s knows the way back home.
